Sebastian Hunter is a bioinformatician affiliated with Arielle Elkrief's group at CHUM in Montreal, working on the intersection of the gut microbiome and cancer immunotherapy. He is a co-author on the multicenter phase 2 FMT-LUMINate trial (Duttagupta et al., Nat Med, 2026), which showed that fecal microbiota transplantation combined with anti-PD-1 therapy can improve outcomes in advanced non-small cell lung cancer and melanoma. His contributions place him within the CHUM/Routy-Elkrief clinical microbiome program.
