Joshua Tran

Joshua Tran is an undergraduate student at UC San Diego (California) pursuing a B.S. in human biology. He has worked in Dr. Jack Gilbert’s lab for two years learning how to conduct microbiome research and analysis for several projects. He has also spent two years researching the gut microbiome and cancer in Dr. Georgia Sadler’s National Cancer Institute-funded multidisciplinary educational approach to reducing cancer disparities based at the UCSD Moore’s Cancer Center. He now plans on obtaining his master’s in biology to determine the impact of dietary intervention on inflammation and microbiome structure post colonoscopy for elevated colorectal cancer risk patients.
